Obituary - Bill O'Dwyer

The senior darts fraternity across Sussex and especially in the Eastbourne area were saddened to hear of the death of County player Bill O’Dwyer who passed away last week.

His first appearance for Sussex was against London in December 1977  and he went on to play ninety six matches for Sussex, sixty four of these  in the ”A” team. He won fifty-one times and played his final match for Sussex against Breconshire in December 1990.

He will be remembered with affection and respect

Sincere condolences in their sad loss go to his family, especially daughter Annette, who was a member of the Sussex County ladies team along side her father, making sixty-four appearances over that period.
